I’m not sure why, but I don’t feel the same defensive need to allow tulips to be themselves as I do with dandelions and people. (although these are totally unaltered)

I have no idea why.

Sometimes things are just better left alone,

And sometimes it’s fun to play with them a bit.

I love black and white portraits.

They sing to me.

This weekend I got the chance to visit with our friends Ian and Rachel. Their little one is getting ready to make an entrance into our grand world and we agreed some maternity pictures were in order.

Rachel has been knitting up a storm getting ready for her baby’s entrance. How cute are these coming home from the hospital booties??

And Ian was so proud of his wife’s work! He kept getting things out to show me that she had made. It was so so sweet.
If I recall correctly this train was made by Ian’s grandfather. I love when toys have history.
